Tagua Town Tortoise

These adorable hand-carved tagua animals are a part of a small collectable collection called "Tagua Town". Each animal is unique, having been hand-carved in Ecuador. The animals each come in a little matchbox, decorated as a house.

Tagua is a palm tree nut from South America that can be sustainably harvested and is often called vegetable ivory. Because it has commercial value, it also helps to stop deforestation in the places where it grows

Just Trade work in partnership with small fairtrade projects across the world. These projects offer life changing training, secure work opportunities and fairly paid employment to marginalised people.
